Seacoast Artillery Photo Gallery Third Transom, Bathtub Plate, Pintle-Pin Bracket, and Large Rear Wheels To re-create this very detailed area, we have to drill 56 precise rivet holes in the `bathtub plate` as well as ten holes for the pintle-pin bracket retainer bolts. You can also see seven rivets along the bottom edge of the third transom. These attach the transom to an angle-iron inside the bathtub which is, in turn, attched to the bathtub plate by the six vertical rivets shown here. Elsewhere we mentioned that there were six rows of rivets in the bathtub plate. Here you can see all but the most extreme, right-hand, row which is behind the right, rear, chassis traverse wheel.
